| The Hoffmann
PU2-VH dovetail routing machine is used for both vertical
and horizontal routing operations. The machine is equipped
with one high-speed router motor to rout one dovetail keyway
either vertically or horizontally into the material.
Vertical
machining:
The supplied 45 degree fence plate, which is guided in a keyway
in the machine table, is used to accurately position the material
on the table. The location of the dovetail slots for the Hoffmann
keys is adjusted by simply moving this fence plate.
The machine is equipped with an electronic foot switch to
start the routing process. Upon depressing of the switch,
the routing sequence is initiated:
- pneumatic clamps secure work piece on machine
table
- router head advances until the pre-set
height position is reached
- router head returns to base position
- pneumatic clamps release work piece
The routing height is easily adjusted
between 0 - 7".
Horizontal machining:
The router head is moved above the machine table by operating
a switch on the front of the machine. The distance between
the router bit and the table depends on the thickness of the
material being processed and can be adjusted between 0 - 5".
Upon making the necessary adjustments, the routing sequence
is again started by depressing the electronic foot switch.

of the machine toward the middle or from the center of the
machine toward the outside, until the pre-set return position
is reached
- router head returns to base position

The horizontal routing stroke is easily adjusted between 0
– 9 1/2".
