| The T
53 370 is a production-duty, cast-iron miter saw. It is
the only tilting head model from OMGA's line-up of precision
miter saws, allowing the processing of material requiring
compound miter cuts.
The machine base and table are heavy-duty
cast iron, designed for years of trouble free operation.
The rotary table, which rides on
long lasting roller bearings, has miter stops at 45°,
30°, 22.5°, 15° and 10° in both directions.
The steel plunger on the front of the machine is installed
in an adjustable bushing, allowing the operator to finely
tune the miter settings. In addition, all angles between
0° - 45° can be manually locked in place.
Two belts connect the powerful 3.0
HP induction motor to the saw blade arbor. By design, belt
driven saws offer greater precision than direct drive saws
because most of the motor vibrations are kept from the saw
blade. In addition, the heavy cast iron base keeps vibrations
to a minimum.
The large machine table provides
a stable and flat surface for all types of materials, while
the front and sides of the base are pre-drilled to allow
easy attachment of accessories like fence systems, clamps,
fixtures, etc.
With a cross cut capacity of 6 11/16" at 90° cutting
angle, and a maximum depth of cut of 4 5/16", this
model will tackle almost any moulding found in a professional
woodworking shop.
